VALENTINE
VALENTINE is a study in romance, decay, and the strange beauty found somewhere between the two.
The outer shell is cast in thick, semi-translucent clear resin, tinted throughout with metallic powders to create a deep pearlescent red that shifts dramatically with the light. The transparency allows the underlying construction to subtly reveal itself, while the metallic finish gives the mask the appearance of something almost lacquered—or pulled straight from the interior of a vintage Valentine's Day nightmare. A row of metal zipper teeth has been integrated along the mouth, adding an industrial, anatomical quality to the otherwise romantic palette.
Beneath it sits a silicone base tinted to complement the shell, finished with a glittering red surface reminiscent of the sparkling vinyl upholstery of a 1950s diner. The contrast between the nostalgic, candy-coated red and the exposed mechanical details gives VALENTINE its particular character: sweet at first glance, unsettling the longer you look.
The mask is completed with a combination of black leather and heavy-duty elastic straps, secured with custom heart-shaped leather washers and exposed holster-style screws. Every fastening element remains intentionally visible, making the restraint system part of the aesthetic rather than something hidden beneath it.
VALENTINE is romance with its teeth showing.
